Overview

"Saving Ferris Butler" is a documentary that examines the life of Ferris Butler, a former "Saturday Night Live" writer known for his bold sketches during the challenging 1980-1981 season. His notable work, "Leather Weather," became a cultural milestone in comedy. Prior to SNL, Butler created "Waste Meat News," New York's first cable access comedy show. The film highlights his connections to comedy icons and features interviews with Emmy-winning writers and SNL cast members.
